A 62-year-old man died Friday after someone hit him in a vehicle two days earlier, and Aurora police are looking for the hit-and-run driver.
At around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the man was crossing the street on East Iliff Avenue in the west-facing lanes at the intersection with South Peoria Street when the driver hit him and then fled, according to Aurora police. A passerby found the man on the ground and alerted the authorities.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment but died of his injuries. The authorities have not released his identity.
Aurora Police said they had no information about the driver or vehicle and were asking anyone with information to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Callers can remain anonymous and receive a reward of up to $ 2,000.
