A pedestrian baby is significantly injured in an Aurora accident.

A child was seriously injured in a car accident on Thursday and the driver fled the scene, police said.

The crash occurred on Havana Street and East First Avenue, police said.

The vehicle is described as a black sedan. The police are looking for the driver.

The lanes north of Havana Street were closed in the area due to the accident, but reopened around 6:30 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle fled north to Havana. The police described the child’s health as “stable”.
