Advocate Aurora supports the personalized telenutrition platform Foodsmart with a Series C round of over $ 25 million

Foodsmart has announced more than $ 25 million in Series C funding led by Advocate Aurora Enterprises.

This strategic growth investment is the first for Advocate Aurora Enterprises to make the Illinois– and WisconsinAdvocate-based attorney Aurora Health was recently founded to invest in companies that enable people to improve their health and well-being beyond traditional clinical care.

Foodsmart’s Series C round also included participation from the Mayfield Fund, Seventure Partners (health for life capital), New Ground Ventures and Benefitfocus Founder Shawn Jenkins, CEO of Classpass Fritz Lanman and former CEO of Darden Restaurants Clarence Otis. Leading Investors With Social Impact The Social Entrepreneurs Fund (TSEF) and Larry Berger, CEO of Amplify, participated in Foodsmart’s drive to make healthy eating affordable and accessible.
