Jared Ewbank will serve as legal counsel to elected members of the Aurora municipal government.

(Aurora, Ind.) – Jared J. Ewbank, of the Ewbank & Kramer law firm of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Has been named an attorney for the City of Aurora. His appointment took effect on January 1, 2021.
In his role as City Attorney, Ewbank will provide legal advice to Aurora Mayor Mark Drury, Aurora City Council and other elected and appointed members of the Aurora City Government.
Mayor Drury welcomed Jared to Aurora, saying, “He will be an important link in fulfilling Aurora’s vision and growing it in the future.”
Ewbank is a graduate of Lawrenceburg High School and a bachelor’s degree from Xavier University. Ewbank received his law degree from Northern Kentucky University’s Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he completed Magna Cum Laude.
Ewbank, formerly the manager of Ewbank Land Title, is a member of the Indiana Land Title Association and has particular expertise in real estate law. His entire area of activity includes administrative law, commercial law, criminal law, civil procedure law, estate planning, family law, landlords / tenants, local law, estate law and personal injury.
“I look forward to working with Mayor Drury and the council to keep the city of Aurora one of the best places to live in southeast Indiana,” said Ewbank.
Ewbank is a member of the Dearborn-Ohio County Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, and the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. He has served on the Senator’s Military Academy Selection Committee since 2018 at the request of US Senator Todd Young (R-IN). In this role, he and other committee members interview and recommend Indiana’s candidates for the US Merchant Marine Academy in New York.
Ewbank lives in Greendale with his wife, Dama, and their two children, Gabe and Josie. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1231 in Lawrenceburg and was previously a board member of Lawrenceburg Main Street and the Highpoint Health Hospital Foundation.
