SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 28, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Aurora Mobile Limited (NASDAQ: JG) (“Aurora Mobile” or the “Company”), a leading service provider for mobile developers in China, today announced it has entered into a partnership agreement with a well-known German luxury vehicle brand. Both companies will use their respective technical skills to deploy intelligent mobility solutions and explore growth opportunities in the intelligent vehicle internet (“IoV”) industry.

The German luxury vehicle brand is headquartered in Munich and is known for manufacturing luxury vehicles, motorcycles and high-performance engines. To create a new generation of mobility solutions for customers that deliver a personalized and intelligent driving experience, the brand recently launched a number of new sub-brands for hybrid electric vehicles, extended range electric vehicles and plug-in electric vehicles. For 2020 as a whole, the brand sold more than 2.32 million vehicles worldwide. The sales volume in China exceeded 770,000 vehicles, making it the leading high-end automaker in China in terms of sales volume. In addition, the brand continues to gain importance in the sale of electric vehicles and will sell more than 190,000 vehicles worldwide in 2020.

The era of the Internet of Everything supports the development of vehicles from a simple means of transport to intelligent vehicles that integrate various digital functions for Mobility-as-a-Service (“MaaS”) and consumption scenarios. With the transition of drivers and passengers to a smarter driving experience, the use of cutting edge technology has become one of the most important battlegrounds for automotive companies. As a result, collaboration between automakers and technology platforms will play an increasingly important role in making smart mobility mainstream.

This partnership enables Aurora Mobile to further expand the application of its Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) – intelligent operational and user identification analytics in the automotive industry. By leveraging its industry-leading push notification technology, Aurora Mobile is bringing smarter, more enjoyable interactive experiences and travel-centric services to consumers of the luxury brand. Aurora Mobile believes this collaboration will also foster wider adoption of smart IoV technology and support the ongoing digital transformation across the automotive industry.

The partnership with the German luxury automaker is another example of how applicable Aurora Mobile’s powerful AI technology and analysis continues to be in various industries. Recently, Aurora Mobile signed milestone agreements with a number of leading platforms in finance, insurance, weather, internet tools, games, fresh grocery e-commerce, online education, telecommunications and new energy vehicles, including Ping An Bank, the data center of China Life, Moji Weather, WiFi Master, Lilith Games, Missfresh, 17zuoye, Beijing Unicom, Dongfeng Motor and other well-known companies to drive user growth, improve user experience and maximize traffic value.
