Aurora crash kills 68-year-old man after pickup vehicles collide

A 68-year-old man died after two pickup trucks collided in Aurora on Sunday evening.

Just after 5 p.m., the man turned left on East 18th Avenue to Chambers Road when his Ford Ranger was hit by a Dodge truck, Aurora Police Department said in a press release. The 68-year-old was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected of being factors in the crash, Aurora police said, but the speed may have contributed. The investigation is still ongoing.

The police are still looking for someone who witnessed the crash.

The Adams County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity.
