Aurora is increasing the Fond du Lac well being heart, and 100 new jobs are anticipated to be created

FOND DU LAC, Wisconsin (WBAY) – Aurora Health representatives have announced an expansion to the existing health center in Fond du Lac.

According to a press release announcing the expansion, the company plans to add a 91,000-square-foot hospital with 10 inpatient beds and an emergency room.

The company says the expansion will create more than 100 jobs and expand access to care for residents.

Construction on the extension, estimated to cost $ 67 million, is expected to begin in spring 2021 and be completed sometime in 2022.

Officials say all patients who require sub-specialty procedures like labor and delivery, cardiac catheterization, or stroke intervention procedures will continue to be cared for in a more advanced care facility like the Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh or another Aurora Health attorney’s facilities.

Company employees say there will be room for future growth.
