Aurora man arrested for drug trafficking

AURORA, NC (WITN) –

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Aurora man for drug trafficking.

According to MPs, an investigation and search warrant against an abandoned residence on Bonnerton Road in Aurora led to the arrest.

According to the sheriff’s office, 43-year-old Adrian Dixon used the residence as a hiding place to hide and prepare cocaine and heroin for resale.

Investigators and a K9 found 28 grams of heroin, 20 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, and plastic bags that were used to pack the drugs.

$ 4,000 was confiscated from Dixon’s vehicle.

Dixon was arrested on Thursday October 22nd and faces the following charges:

• Heroin trafficking

• Owning with the intention of selling and delivering cocaine

• possession of drug paraphernalia

• Criminal possession of a firearm

• Possession of a stolen firearm

The sheriff’s office says Dixon is currently on federal parole for drug and firearms offenses.

He is booked in the Beaufort District Detention Center. The bond is $ 750,000.
