Aurora, Orland Park is hosting vaccination events Thursday

Aurora and Orland Park will each host COVID vaccine pop-up events on Thursday.

– – Today a new vaccination center opens in the southwestern suburb of Orland Park. The site at the Orland Park Civic Center is only open to seniors and qualified educators who live and work in the village. The vaccinations will be from 9:00 a.m. this morning to 4:00 a.m. this afternoon. It is expected that 700 to 1200 cans will be distributed.

And Aurora is opening a new mass vaccination site in another former department store this morning. The city uses a second free Carson Perry Scott, which is located in Fox Valley Mall. Today’s share-based vaccination clinic caters to the Black, Latin American, and Indian communities. More than 1,000 people have registered.
