Aurora will begin accepting marijuana truck purposes beginning February 1st

AURORA, Colorado (KDVR) – On Monday, Aurora will be accepting marijuana enforcement requests for marijuana vans, according to Aurora’s marijuana enforcement division.

“We have no idea what our cargo will be like,” said Robin Peterson, manager of Aurora’s Marijuana Enforcement Division. “We have been talking about the delivery of marijuana in town for a while.”

In December 2020, Aurora City Council members voted for pharmacies to have marijuana and marijuana products delivered within city limits and other jurisdictions where delivery is possible

“The Marijuana Industry Group (MIG) supports this rule,” said MIG director Truman Bradley. “We think Aurora got it right.”

For the first three years, only pharmacies and people who meet the requirements of the state social justice licensee can apply for a marijuana van.

According to the state’s website, individuals potentially eligible to obtain a social justice license could either:

Have a household income that is no more than 50% of the median national income in the year prior to application

Lived in the area for at least 15 years between 1980 and 2010, which has since been zoned by state officials to qualify

Do you have a parent, sibling, spouse, child, or guardianship of someone who has been arrested for a marijuana crime in the past

“I definitely think we’re going to see a boom in Aurora,” said Bradley.

Denver is also considering a proposal that would allow the supply of marijuana. it could reach the committee in early March.
