Dozens of Aurora firms are making use of for coronavirus reduction funds

AURORA, IL – A recently established coronavirus relief fund is attracting great interest from Aurora companies. In the first few days, more than 60 companies applied, reports Aurora Beacon-News.

To qualify for a grant, a company must have no more than 50 employees and be in good standing with the state. National company-owned franchises are not eligible, although local franchisees may apply depending on the city’s application.

Aurora City Council also approved a three-month hiatus from collecting approximately $ 1 million worth of food and beverage taxes and another $ 250,000 to ease restaurants and bars through a year-long hiatus in royalties for businesses with Licenses for alcohol on site.
