Howell Construction works with the Aurora Mental Health Center

Howell Construction has been selected by the Aurora Mental Health Center (AuMHC) as the site manager and general contractor for a multi-year project program. AuMHC is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been providing mental health services since 1975 and operates in thirteen separate facilities across Aurora.

Last year Howell provided pre-construction and construction services for the renovation of the Alameda Center, the first renovation of the facility in the program. Howell provided pre-construction services in 2020 and began construction of the 1st and 5th floors of the Stith Center earlier this year, a 25,000-square-foot renovation that’s expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2021. Cuningham Group Architecture designed each of the rooms.

It is Howell’s goal to create a comfortable, safe, and patient-centric environment through each of these busy renovation projects. Howell’s “invisible build” approach ensures that patients, family members and staff have positive experiences in any AuMHC facility under construction.

“We are honored to be the construction partner of the Aurora Mental Health Center for these important projects. We look forward to continuing our relationship with AuMHC by offering our customers ‘Always Great Performance’ our brand promise. “Said Marcus Pickworth, project manager for Howell.

Howell has provided budget pricing for an exterior renovation project at the Alameda site of the Aurora Mental Health Center and budgeted for an inpatient and office combination project at the Potomac site.
