A gang member from 18th Street was arrested by US immigration and customs officials on April 9 in Aurora.
29-year-old Luis Guzman-Rincon was on the ICE wanted list for violations of immigration regulations.
Guzman-Rincon was also involved in an argument with a rival gang member that resulted in gunfire that paralyzed a 16-year-old girl. He was later convicted of attempted manslaughter on October 18, 2017.
“We are committed to identifying and removing gang members and public safety threats in our community,” said John Fabbricatore, director of the ERO Denver branch, in a press release. “Guzman paralyzed an underage child when he initiated gang violence. His ruthless disregard for children put him on the ICE Top Ten wanted list, and we’ve made him a priority for arrest. “
