The Inns of Aurora have introduced new culinary experiences based on social distancing in two of their restaurants.

The Fargo Bar & Grill is home to the new Fargo Fire Garden, which transforms the terrace area into a “cozy winter oasis”, according to the Inns of Aurora in a press release. The space has three wood-burning Solo Stove fire pits, bistro lighting, and Adirondack chairs. Also available is a new winter-inspired menu with items like S’Mores Dip served in a cast iron pan, loaded tater tots and the Fargo burger.

“It’s one of those ideas that we might never have thought of in normal times, but when the pandemic forced us to get creative we found a way to adapt that is fun even without social distancing,” said Nikki Mitchell , Restaurant manager at Fargo.

In the 1833 Kitchen & Bar at the Aurora Inn, the new 1833 room transforms one of the guest rooms into a private dining space where up to 10 guests can enjoy a full dinner or brunch. Sommelier-led wine pairings are also available from Bernard Simmons, who recently became the restaurant’s manager.

Assistant Manager Ben Maywalt said the 1833 room offered “a completely different dining experience” than the 1833 Kitchen & Bar.

“I think people may have taken restaurants for granted before the pandemic, and with so little choice, people appreciate all the things they can’t enjoy at home, like the preparation of food by professional chefs, coupled with Crying from a professional sommelier served by a professional staff, “Maywalt said.” The space has all of these things in a very focused, comfortable, private setting that is truly unique. “
