AURORA, IL – Two months after closing a quarter billion dollar deal with the world’s largest meal set company, Factor75 will open a new food prep and delivery facility in Aurora Thursday.
Factor75 recently moved to the former Cosmopolitan building at 2372 W. Indian Trail. The company opened the doors of the converted facility for the first time on Thursday.
The building is located on almost 14 hectares and covers more than 100,000 square meters for a commercial kitchen, a packaging and storage area and 35,000 square meters of office space.
The company has announced that its new Aurora facility will produce over $ 500 million worth of ready-made meals each year. HelloFresh is also taking over Factor75’s four production and fulfillment facilities in Burr Ridge, Lyon and Franklin Park.
According to a report in the Financial Times, HelloFresh sales were more than double that of the same period between July and September for the same period in 2019. Demand for ready-made meal kits soared amid the coronavirus pandemic.
