Like Geneva, Ithaca has chosen to close traffic along a popular street in order to expand the outdoor dining options for businesses along that route.

North Aurora St. will be closed to vehicle traffic this week to allow restaurants to expand their outdoor dining areas.

The city has called it the “Aurora Streatery”.

Restaurants participating in the Streatery include Luna Inspired Street Food, Red’s Place, Mahogany Grill, and Simeon’s American Bistro.

Vehicle traffic will be blocked until mid-autumn, when temperatures drop.
