AURORA, Colorado – Aurora police on Tuesday announced a second arrest in a July 2020 murder.
Dontavious Hetzel, 28, was arrested in Georgia on suspicion of involvement in a first degree murder for his alleged role in the murder of a 31-year-old man in Aurora last year.
Hetzel remains in a Georgia prison awaiting extradition to Colorado. It is the second arrest in the case after the unidentified victim was found shot dead in the area of East Colfax Avenue and North Beeler Street around 1:45 a.m. on July 5, 2020.
Master Titus Uriah Martin, 20, was arrested last September on a first-degree murder warrant related to the shooter’s death. According to police, two days after the July 5 murder, he is a suspect in a separate nearby shooting.
Crystal Black, 36, and Moses John Hamm, 44, were killed in a double shot on the 1500 block on Beeler Street on July 7, according to the Adams County coroner office.
