Aurora police responded to a shootout early Monday morning and found a man dead in a hotel.
According to a press release, police went to Hometowne Suites on the 3700 block of North Chambers Road at around 5:15 a.m. on Monday after a shooting call. Officers found a man in a hotel room who had been shot. The man, whom the police failed to identify, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they arrested a teenage man after finding the teenage boy nearby. His involvement is being investigated and his name will not be published.
In this case, no one was arrested or charged. However, police said Tuesday they are not looking for outstanding suspects. The case is being investigated as a murder.
The Adams County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity after positive identification and notification of his closest relative.
