Man hospitalized with serious injuries after shooting in Northern Aurora – The Denver Post

According to Aurora Police, a man was shot dead and hospitalized after a shooting in northern Aurora on Sunday evening.

Police received a call about 7:15 p.m. for a shooting near 35th Avenue and Helena Street. The police tweeted. The man who was shot is seriously injured.

Adult man shot and transported with serious injuries. No suspicious information at this time.

Chambers Road from 33rd to 38th Streets was closed in both directions while officers investigated and police tweeted. There is no estimated time for the reopening.

Police suggest that those traveling south in the area take 38th Avenue to Sable Boulevard. Those traveling north should take 32nd Avenue to Airport Boulevard.

No information is currently available on a possible suspect, but police are asking witnesses to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
