A man was shot dead in an incident in Aurora on Monday morning, police said.
At around 11:40 a.m., officials responded with a report of a shooting, according to a press release on East Yale Avenue and East Brown Drive. Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.
“Initial information indicates that this began as a possible traffic incident,” the police said in the press release. “In this case, a person of interest has been identified.”
Neither the victim’s identity nor the possible suspect was disclosed. According to police, no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
