North Aurora is visited by the cellular meals financial institution

The Northern Illinois Food Bank and Wheaton Christian Center Church-Aurora Campus distributed groceries in North Aurora Saturday morning.

The mobile food bank was set up on Route 31 opposite the police station on Saturday.

“With the COVID pandemic, the spread has increased over the past year,” said Jenny Ackerman, development officer for the Northern Illinois Food Bank. “We are happy to serve neighbors.”

Meals were free for those in need with no ID, proof of address, or proof of income required. Food was distributed according to availability while supplies lasted.
