A 16-year-old was shot in the leg by a 14-year-old family member Sunday night, according to Aurora police.

The shooting, which police describe as accidental, took place in the East 12th Avenue and Akron Street area. The 16-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital.
Police said the 14-year-old “played with the gun” when they fired. An investigation is still ongoing. No one was arrested on Sunday evening.
