The Northern Illinois Food Bank offers free meals for children in Aurora throughout the summer

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) – Thanks to the Norther Illinois Food Bank, children in Aurora will have free summer meals all summer long.

The Meals on the Move program features meals for children under the age of 18 in various parks across Aurora. No registration or ID is required for meals. Parents or guardians can just grab them and walk, and there are both drive-thru and walk-up pickup options.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday there are two breakfast and two lunch meals per child from 10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Phillips Park Visitors Center at 1000 Ray Moses Drive and then from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at New Haven Park at 569 New Haven Avenue

Tuesdays and Thursdays, three breakfasts and three lunches per child are offered per child from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lincoln Park, 259 S. Russel Avenue and 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. at McCarty Park, 350 East Galena Blvd.
