The Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry is hosting their second monthly pop-up kids pantry on Saturday, February 6th, 10am to 12pm in Lincoln Park, Russell Avenue, and Lakewood Place in Aurora.
The public is invited. The Calvary Church of Naperville and the Fox Valley Park District are partners in the event.
Rebecca “Becky” Dunnigan, pantry community outreach and program coordinator, said 200 families will be cared for. Foods include produce, peanut butter, jelly, granola, applesauce, pancake mix, syrup, canned fruit, pop tarts, cheese, and crackers.
Calvary Church will provide a truck and driver to move the supplies from the storage facility to the distribution point. A dozen volunteers from the church and pantry will help.
Dunnigan said about 150 families were served in the first pop-up children’s pantry on Jan. 16.
